Appointment of Destiny
For years many have asked me why I had not written a book about the many places I had been or about the people I have met and the friends that I have made over the course of my life. I did not regard my life as being sufficiently significant to write one and to do so would have seemed pretentious.
For many years I kept a journal of the places I had been and the events that I enjoyed. This book will have only a few because I have published two other extensive books of my travels.
Also I wanted to leave the information contained in this book as a legacy for my children and my grandchildren to read about the escapades of their father and grandfather; and by others who may find these writings interesting.
At this writing I am 73 years of age, and sincerely appreciative for an outstanding life. I am so grateful to the good Lord for the blessings that He has allowed me to have during the course of these years. I have spent 55 years in the gospel ministry, and in denominational administrative roles, and the last eight years of my working life as a publisher of my old and outstanding denomination.

I have visited, spoke, been used as a consultant, in 69 denominations in 48 of the 50 states in the USA, all the provinces of Canada but 5, much of Mexico, and in 38 foreign countries.

BRIEF PROFOLIO OF ALTON LOVELESS AND FAMILY
Dr. Loveless has published more than 1350 articles and conducted over 1100 seminars in 48 states and 38 foreign countries. He has been widely used as a Christian education consultant, workshop leader, or minister by 69 denominations in churches of all sizes.
His training in Christian education began with Scripture Press Publications, which opened the door to a broad and diverse knowledge of what churches have done, or are doing, to build a great church. His interest continued in church growth and teacher training while he served as the President and CEO of Randall House Publications, where he aided in the creation of Outreach magazine, a publication on church growth with an emphasis on the training of workers. This full colored magazine has been praised by many denominations.
A Free Will Baptist minister for 53 years, attended Hendrix College, graduated from Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College, and earned a M.B.A. and a Ph. D. in Business Administration from Columbia Pacific University. He has been awarded three honorary degrees and a number of business awards.
